Abstract
결론
이 논문은 치과 치료 경험이 아동의 치과 의사와 치과 치료에 대한 태도에 끼치는 영향을
질문지 조사법을 통하여 연구하였다. 익산시 3개 국민학교 아동 1090명을 연구 대상으로 하
였으며, 이 중에서 2학년이 430명, 3학년이 330명, 4학년이 330명, 남아가 549명 여아가 541
명이었다. 치과 치료에 대한 태도, 치과의사에 대한 태도, 치과 치료 경험, 치과 치료 회수,
치과 방문 후 경과 시간, 치과 치료시 동통, 치과 치료시 공포를 조사하는 7개 문항으로 된
질문지를 제작하여 조사하였다. 자료에 통계적 분석은 각 문항의 답 분포를 성별 및 학년별
로 구하고 상호 연관이 있다고 생각되는 변수간의 독립성을 교차 분석과 카이자승검사법으
로 검정하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1. 치과 치료에 대한 태도에서 성간 차이는 유의하지 않았으나 학년간 차이는 유의하였다
(P<0.01). 매우 부정적 태도를 나타낸 아동의 비율은 2학년에서 33.3%로 가장 높았고 학년
이 높아지면서 감소하였다.
2. 치과의사에 대한 태도에서 성간 차이는 유의하지 않았으나 학년간 차이는 유의하였다
(P<0.01). 연구 대상 아동의 48.0%가 매우 긍정적인 태도를 보였다.
3. 연구 대상 아동의 90.8%가 치료 경험이 있었다. 치료 경험이 있는 아동의 13.9%가 1회의
치료를 받았고 23.7%가 아주 많이 치료를 받았다. 치과 치료 회수가 아주 많은 아동의 비율
은 학년이 낮을수록 높은 경향이 있었다.
4. 남아보다 여아가 동통을 더 느꼈으며(P<0.05) 학년이 높을수록 동통을 느낀 아동의 비율
이 증가하였다. 남아보다 여아가 공포를 더 느꼈다 (P<0.01).
5. 치과 치료 경험과 치과 치료 회수는 치과 의사에 대한 태도와 유의한 연관성이 없었으나
동통과 공포는 치과의사에 대한 태도와 유의한 연관성이 있었다(P<0.01).
6. 치과의사에 대한 태도가 부정적인 아동의 치과 치료에 대한 태도는 대부분 부정적이었으
며 양자간에는 유의한 연관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다 (P<0.01).
7. 치과 치료 경험과 치과 치료 후 경과 시간은 치과 치료에 대한 태도와 유의한 연관성이
없었으나 치과 치료 회수는 치과 치료에 대한 태도와 유의한 연관성이 있었다(P<0.05). 치
과 치료시 동통과 공포는 치과 치료에 대한 태도와 유의한 연관성이 있었다(P<0.01) .
8. 치과 치료시 동통과 공포와 치과 치료 회수간의 통계적인 유의성은 없었다.
9. 치과 치료시의 동통과 공포간에는 연관성이 있었다(P<0.01) .

The purpose of this study was to investigate tile effect of dental experience on the
attitude of children toward the dentist and the dental treatment. The subjects of the
study we 1,090 children from second grade to forth grade of three elementary schools of
the Iksan city. The children were investigated by the questionnaire which consisted of
seven item about the attitude toward the dentist, the attitude toward the dental
treatment, the dental treatment experience, the number of times of dental treatment, the
last time of the dental visit, pain of dental treatment, and fear of dental treatment.
There were significant differences among the grades in the attitude toward the dental
treatment and in the attitude toward the dentist (P<0.01). Second grade children had the
most negative attitudes. But, there were no differences between boys and girls. Girls
more pain and fear than boys (P<0.01). There were significant relationships between the
pain and the attitude toward the dentist, between the pain and the attitude town the
dental treatment, between the fear and the attitude toward the dentist, and between the
fear and the attitude toward the dental treatment (P<0.01, all) . The number of deal
visit had significant relationship with the attitude toward the dental treatment (P<0.05).
There were significant relationships between the pain and the fear and between the
attitude toward the dentist and the attitude toward the dental treatment.
